Statement of privacy

Clarity Language Consultants Ltd. is committed to protecting the privacy of those using our website. Any personal information provided by you is used only to help us provide a better service to you and for us to identify your needs and requirements. We do not pass any personal information to third parties, except to Clarity's partners in your country to provide a product or to enhance our service to you. (Unless we tell you differently, these companies do not have any right to use the personally identifiable information we provide to them beyond what is necessary to assist us.)

Clarity data protection policy

This statement of data protection applies to all data entered by an institution about their students, and by students themselves. It also applies to progress records generated by the Clarity programs and stored in the system.

Details about users that are entered into Clarity programs are available for any user with appropriate, licensed access. Teachers can access all details about their students using Results Manager; a student can only see their own details. A teacher's access is restricted to data on students in their own group only. An account administrator can see all details for that account.

All data is available to limited Clarity staff for support work. We do not allow any outside party to access the database directly. We reserve the right to provide usage information about the programs to potential customers and academics only after all personal and institutional data has been anonymised.

Data is stored in the EU under the strictest data protection and privacy rules. If you have any concern about the data of your students, please do contact us.

Commercial and biometric data are never requested or stored. Any customer who wishes to correct data can do so by supplying their name and password as used to log in to our system.

When a user is deleted from the system, all records relating to them are automatically deleted or anonymised. When an insitution's licence expires, users and their records are archived. The archive database is kept for one year and then cleared out.

Daily backups are made of the database and kept in a secure zone for one month. Then one copy per month is put onto offline media and the rest deleted.
